Justice Sen controversy has raised a serious question about procedural defects in Judicial Appointments which are still held in a completely non-transparent manner. How, in spite of his alleged misconduct, Justice Sen could be able to get elevated to the position of a High Court Judge raises serious doubts about the system of Judicial appointments in which the eligibility criteria is not the merit of an individual but his contacts with the people who are responsible for such appointments.
File pertaining to the appointment of Justice Sen needs to be seriously scrutinised and the people responsible for his elevation should also be held accountable to bring disrepute to the whole Judicial system.

There is need of transparacy in appointment of Judges. Like UPSC, Govt should set up commission for appointment of Judges.
Rising corruption in judiciary is to be curbed, for this Govt should amend constitution, there is no need for parliament to imeach, let there be a tribunal to look into chages of corruption against judges.
